According to a recent report from Marca, Barcelona and Manchester City are both planning on keeping track of Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga. The 19 year old star has been turning heads for quite some time now, to the point where many of Europe’s top clubs are taking notice. Sevilla are also interested, with many of them being in the mix to bring Lokonga on board.
Barcelona and City are both in a position where they’re continually contending for the biggest trophies in the game, but they’re also both looking towards the future – and neither have a clear direction. They’ve got a few young talents that fans see some promise in, but nothing like Albert Sambi Lokonga.
Of course, this could just be all talk and he may not end up living up to the hype, but it all depends on what kind of intensity they push forward with.
If they’re as ruthless as they can be, then they’ve both got a chance of securing the signing.
