Barca chief: Messi will be back soon

(GSM) – Barcelona technical director Andoni Zubizarreta says Lionel Messi will soon return to action.

The Argentine wonderchild suffered an ankle injury during the match against Atlético Madrid a week ago. Barca fans feared for a long spell at the sidelines for Messi but Zubizarreta has assured them the 23-year-old will soon return to match action.

Messi is included in Barca’s squad for their Champions League encounter against Rubin Kazan.

“Last year [versus Rubin] taught us some things,” said Zubizarreta. “We know wherever we go in the Champions League it takes place in a difficult venue. We want [Messi] healthy, and he will be healthy soon.”
