Catalan daily newspaper El Mundo Deportivo understands that Napoli full-back Juan Camilo Zuniga has a special clause in his contract allowing him to join Barcelona.
The Colombian opted to sign a new contract with the Azzurri in October 2013 despite a reported interest from Barcelona, but it has now been revealed that he is still hoping to complete a move to Camp Nou.
Namely, while Zuniga’s release clause stands at €30 million, the Catalans are the only club that can sign him for €15 million.
This is enough to suggest that Barcelona are indeed pondering a summer move for the highly rated full-back, especially with Dani Alves widely tipped to leave.
Juan Camilo Zuniga has missed almost an entire season through a knee injury, but he is expected to feature at the upcoming World Cup.
He has spent last five years at Stadio San Paolo having joined from Siena, making a total of 116 Serie A appearances.
