Barcelona forward Keirrison de Souza Carneiro is set to return to Coritiba, his representative has confirmed.
The player, who arrived joined Barcelona in a €14 million deal from Palmeiras, has been a major disappointment at Camp Nou, having failed to play a single game for the club.
The 23-year-old spent last two years on loan spells at Benfica, Fiorentina, Santos and Cruzeiro, and is now set to return to the club where it all started for him.
Keirrison, whose contract at Camp Nou does not expire before June 2014, is set sign a loan deal with Coritiba.
“There are details (to be agreed) such as exact time of contract, the salary and the format of negotiations, but it is something that Coritiba want, and Keirrison want to happen,” player’s representative Mario Andre Mazzuco told Brazilian television Terra.
Keirrison started his professional career at Coritiba, where he scored 33 goals in 63 league games before joining Palmeiras.
The forward spent just six months at Palmeiras before joining Barcelona in July 2009, but he has since failed to make a single appearance for the Catalans.
