Barca in fresh assault on Gameiro

Champions League holders Barcelona are seriously thinking about making a move on Sevilla hotshot Kevin Gameiro, El Mundo Deportivo can reveal.

The Catalans will have around €60 million to spend in the summer transfer window, but they are unlikely to make any big name signings.

While they have secured the return of Denis Suarez from Villarreal, Barcelona also plan to recruit a forward that would act as back up for the MSN trio.

But, considering that anyone who joins cannot really hope to be playing regular first team football, the Catalans have no choice but to sign a player who would be happy with playing second fiddle to the world’s most lethal attack.

As a result, Barcelona plan to launch an assault on Sevilla’s Kevin Gameiro, who can not only cover all three positions up front, but also gave Barcelona a tough time of late.

Seeing that his contract at Stadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan expires in June 2018, the Catalans hope an offer in the region of €20 million would be deemed sufficient.
