Barcelona are in talks over the possibility of signing Luka Jović, according to Catalan radio station RAC1, as relayed by AS.
The 22-year-old striker has been on hot form for Eintracht Frankfurt this season, where he’s currently playing on loan from Portuguese side Benfica, scoring 22 goals in all competitions so far. Barcelona have apparently been scouting him for some time, and they’ve engaged in series of conversations with his agent, Fali Ramadani.
Jović has once again shown his knack for scoring in Serbia’s 1-1 friendly draw with Germany, when he poached a 12th-minute opener which was cancelled out in the 69th minute by a fine strike from Bayern’s Leon Goretzka. Barcelona have apparently identified the Serb as a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez, who would remain their first-choice striker for another season before handing the torch over to Jović. The Catalan giants are hoping that given his young age, Jović would find such an arrangement agreeable.
