Barca keeping tabs on Nelson Semedo

La Liga champions Barcelona are keeping close tabs on Benfica full-back Nelson Semedo, according to Sport.

It is no secret that the Catalans are in the market for a right-sided defender as they plan to use Sergi Roberto in midfield next season.

And while Aleix Vidal has managed to kick-start his career at Camp Nou, Barcelona will sign another right-back in the summer.

After primary target Joao Cancelo decided to remain with Valencia for the time being, the Catalans appear to have turned their attention towards Nelson Semedo.

Barcelona scouts were present as the Eagles defeated Nacional at the weekend, with the 23-year-old at the centre of their attention.

And while the Catalans also made a check on Victor Nilsson Lindelof and Ederson Moraes, it is clear that Nelson Semedo has emerged as their top target and a summer assault seems on the cards.
