Barcelona are keeping close tabs on Valencia goalkeeper Diego Alves, Catalan daily newspaper Sport has revealed.
The Catalans have yet to find a replacement for Victor Valdes, and are currently looking at a number of high-profile shot-stoppers.
Sport understands that Valencia’s Diego Alves has been added to the hit-list following some impressive displays at Mestalla.
The Brazilian has been earning rave reviews for his performances this season, but los Che have yet to offer him a new deal despite his current contract expiring in June 2015.
Barcelona could try and take advantage of the situation as that would allow them to sign the 28-year-old on a cut-price deal.
Diego Alves joined Valencia from Almeria in the summer of 2011 and went on to make 59 La Liga appearances for the club.
The experienced goalkeeper has so far earned 7 Brazil caps, but he hasn’t been featuring for the national team of late.
