According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona will have to pay a fee of around £173 million in order to trigger the current release clause of Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez. It was claimed in the past that he would be able to leave for a fee of around £95 million, but it no longer appears as if that’s the case.
Martinez has been a figure of intrigue ever since he first lit things up for Inter, putting himself on the map as a potential superstar.
Barca aren’t exactly strangers to the sensation that comes with paying an awful lot of money for a top star, and it doesn’t feel like they’d shy away from paying this if they felt he was worth.
Of course, coming to that determination or decision isn’t something that happens overnight, especially given how many high profile attacking stars Barcelona already have on their books.
