Barcelona have moved to again confirm their interest in Celta Vigo hotshot Nolito, adding fuel to speculation linking the Spain international with a return to Camp Nou.
The experienced forward has been in scintillating form this season, catching the eye of some of Europe’s top sides in the process.
Many believe that Barcelona coach Luis Enrique is keen to get reunited with the player, who yesterday confirmed that he was interested in moving back to Catalunya.
And it appears that a January deal is becoming more likely by the day as the Catalans technical secretary moved to confirm that the club are interested in Nolito.
“It’s possible that we’ll make some signings in the winter,” he told RAC1. “We’re working on it and I speak with Luis Enrique every day.
“(Nolito) is a real possibility. We know what the situation of the player is, but there are many other possibilities.
“I won’t say anything about Nolito as a player, other than he’s a good player, in a great run of form and in the (Spanish) national team, which is always an important thing. We’re talking about many possibilities, but we’ll see in the end what is best for the club.”
Nolito has clearly been one of La Liga’s star performers this season, having managed 7 goals and 4 assists in 11 league outings.
He has also managed to play himself into the first team plans of Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque and now stands a good chance of playing at the Euro 2016.
