Barcelona are expected to reignite their interest in Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, according to Sport.
The Catalans will have Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal available for selection from January, but they, nonetheless, aim to recruit at least two more footballers.
And while one of Nolito, Andriy Yarmolenko or Sofiane Feghouli should arrive as a replacement for Pedro Rodriguez, Barcelona also need a new central midfielder with Rafinha Alcantara having suffered a season ending injury.
It has now been revealed that the midfielder could miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL ligament and it looks as though the Catalans will attempt to add Ilkay Gundogan in his place.
Their long-term target has been flirting with Borussia Dortmund exit and it is believed that he is keen on moving to Camp Nou.
Despite sharing spoils with AS Roma in their opening fixture, Barcelona remain 3/1 favourites to defend the Champions League title.
