Barcelona have ruled out a summer move for Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois, TalkSport understands.
The Belgium international has spent the last two and a half years on loan at Atletico Madrid, during which time he has become one of the most highly regarded goalkeepers in World football.
The Catalan club are on the lookout for a new number one with Victor Valdes set to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
However, reports in Spain have claimed that the former Genk man’s poor distribution has ruled him out of the running, with the La Liga champions’ intent on playing the ball out from the back.
Courtios has enjoyed much success in his time in the Spanish capital, winning the Europa League, the UEFA Super Cup and the Copa del Rey.
Atleti are currently joint on points with La Liga leaders Barca, and are priced at 5/1 to win the division for the first time since 1996.
