Former Miami Fusion coach Ray Hudson says the Major League Soccer should approve Barcelona’s bid for an expansion franchise in Florida.
Barcelona are one of seven groups to bid for an MLS expansion franchise.
“Barcelona doesn’t just throw a hat into the ring; they throw a major sombrero,” Hudson told the Miami Herald. “Barcelona is the royal of the royalties, and hopefully MLS will not let this golden egg slip through their hands.”
“If this marriage were to take place, Miami would be the envy of all the league.”
“This dwarfs anything else this league has ever done,” the excitable broadcaster declared. “It would be an exclamation point for MLS, it would make Miami a highly attractive place to play.”
“It’s a dream come true for any fan in South Florida.”
