El Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Barcelona are considering a bid for AS Roma full-back Alessandro Florenzi.
The Catalans will have summer recruit Aleix Vidal available for selection from January, but with Dani Alves likely to leave at the end of the season, they are on the lookout for another right-sided defender.
According to El Mundo Deportivo, AS Roma starlet Alessandro Florenzi has emerged as their top target and not only because of the goal he scored against Barca from the halfway line.
The Catalans have scouted the Italy international on numerous occasions this term and they believe he has what it takes to succeed at Camp Nou.
The only problem is that Florenzi is extremely loyal to his boyhood club and doesn’t plan on leaving any time soon.
Barcelona face arch rivals Real Madrid in El Clasico at the weekend and they are 17/10 shot to claim maximum points.
