Barca’s Tello set for permanent Porto switch

Portuguese media outlet Record understands that FC Porto are on the verge of securing the signature of Spanish forward Cristian Tello.

The 23-year-old joined the Dragons on a two-year loan in the summer, but it appears he has already done enough to persuade the club chiefs to try and turn his loan deal into permanent move.

According to Record, Porto are close to reaching an agreement to purchase the talented attacker for a fee of €5 million.

The two clubs are also in talks over Danilo’s proposed switch to Camp Nou, given that the Catalans see the full-back as a perfect long-term replacement for compatriot Dani Alves.

Cristian Tello has been in fine form since arriving at Estadio do Dragao, having managed 3 goals and 9 assists in 27 outings.

Porto face Basel in the Champions League knockout stages, and the Dragons are priced at 4/9 to qualify for the quarter-finals.
