La Liga returns for another huge round of games as the competition continues to heat up. Every side in the league will want to get back to action with yet another win as the three points they can pick up will quite often enable a team to rise a number of places. With this in mind, Barcelona host Alaves on Sunday.
Barcelona have been in very good form this season and they are looking like a very strong bet to win the league. In their last five they have won every single game, seeing them onto 54 points for the season so far, 11 clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid. In the form Barcelona are in it looks as though nobody will catch them, with Lionel Messi and his teammates outstanding again this year.
By contrast, Alaves are in a lot of trouble this season. After 20 games they have won six, drawn once and lost 13 times, while they have scored 16 goals and conceded 29 times. In their last five they have managed to win twice, lose twice and draw just once, which has seen them onto 19 points, just three clear of the relegation zone. Alaves are in desperate need of a run of wins to get themselves away from trouble, but they face their toughest test of the season this Sunday.
