La Liga returns this weekend for yet another round of games that will only bring more excitement with goals and moments of controversy to come. With this in mind, runaway leaders Barcelona travel to face Eibar on Saturday.
Eibar have been in really good form this season and they are currently battling for a European spot for next year. After 23 games they have managed to win 10, draw five and lost eight, while they have scored 32 goals and conceded 34 times. In their last five they have been able to secure two wins along with two draws and a defeat which has seen them move onto 35 points for the season so far. The Spanish side will feel that a Europa League place is not out of their reach as Sevilla are just a point above them while, incredibly, Real Madrid and the final Champions League spot is just seven points above them.
Barcelona have been superb this season and they are sitting very comfortably at the top of the table. After 23 games they have won 18 and drawn five times meaning they are actually unbeaten, while they have scored 60 goals and conceded 11 times. In their last five they have managed to win three and draw twice, with both stalemates coming in their last two games. The leaders will be desperate to return to winning ways, but if they fail to do so, then Atletico Madrid could cut the gap to as little as four points.
