French forward Antoine Griezmann is said to have agreed terms with Barcelona ahead of a proposed summer move to Camp Nou.
Spanish media outlet Cat Radio claims that the Catalan club have been given a nod from the Atletico Madrid striker and will approach their La Liga rivals in order to activate Griezmann’s €100 million release clause.
The 26-year-old French international striker has been heavily linked with a move away from Atletico last summer with reports claiming he was Manchester United-bound.
Having signed Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez most recently, the Red Devils will not be pursuing attacking reinforcements next summer which left Barcelona as the clear favourites to land the highly coveted forward.
Griezmann has been in superb form for Atletico Madrid over the past couple of weeks. He scored eight goals in his last eight appearances for Los Colchineros, including a hat-trick in last weekend’s 5-2 win at Sevilla.
