According to Sport.es, Spanish champions Barcelona have agreed to pay the release clause of Clément Lenglet in order to bring him to the Nou Camp. The Sevilla defender has enjoyed a successful tenure with the club since arriving from France last year, and while Sevilla were reportedly doing everything in their power to keep him, it seems as if the allure of playing for Barca has proven to be too much.

The fee is reported to be in the region of €35 million, and he will be seen as a ‘reinforcement’ for the Barcelona back four. The 23-year-old is still a few years away from reaching his prime, and playing alongside the likes of Pique will likely help him to reach that next level.

Lenglet hasn’t been viewed as a household figure even though he’s been gradually improving over in Spain, but now, even more eyes will be on him than ever before.
