Marca TV is reporting that Barcelona have chosen the man to replace goalkeeper Victor Valdes for the 2013/2014 season.
The Catalans have reportedly agreed a deal with Borussia M’gladbach for keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who will be joining the Catalans in the summer transfer window.
Ter Stegen, 20, arrives at Camp Nou as a replacement for long-serving goalkeeper Victor Valdes, who has decided to leave the club at the end of the current campaign.
The talented goalkeeper has come through the youth ranks at Borussia M’gladbach and has already made 61 Bundesliga appearances for die Fohlen.
He is currently considered Germany’s number two behind Manuel Neuer and has so far made 2 appearances for the national team.
Ter Stegen is widely regarded as one of the most talented goalkeepers in world football, but his lack of experience at the highest level might prove to be a problem if he indeed makes a switch to Camp Nou.
