La Liga champions Barcelona are preparing to engage in a transfer market race in order to sign midfield replacements for Andres Iniesta and Paulinho who left the Catalan club for Vissel Kobe and Guangzhou Evergrande, respectively.

The media have widely speculated with names that could possibly be on Barcelona’s radar with Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen reportedly topping the wish list but the latest reports coming from Mundo Deportivo have it that Barca have other players in mind.

Brazil international William is one of them, with the 29-year-old versatile winger being one of the options for the summer transfer market. Willian has been linked with a Chelsea exit for quite some time now and the Catalans appear prepared to join Manchester United in the race for his signature.

Another name being linked with Barcelona is Adrien Rabiot.

The French international who famously refused to join Les Bleus as he did not want to sit on the bench in Russia has entered the final year of his contract with PSG and has already suggested a move could be on the cards.

And while Rabiot’s contract expires in 2019, William is tied for Chelsea until 2020.
