Barcelona and AC Milan consider Van Persie offer

From the moment Robin Van Persie revealed he wouldn’t be signing a new contract at Arsenal, speculation was rife about what his next move would be.

Well, the Daily Mail is this morning reporting that Barcelona and AC Milan are both considering an offer for the wantaway striker.

It has already been widely reported that Juventus want to sign Van Persie, but two European giants joining the race for his signature is sure to throw the cat amongst the pigeons.

With regards to Barcelona’s interest, they are keen to make a big money signing to help them regain the La Liga title and Champions League after they missed out on both last season.

As for Milan, money is thought to be tight at the San Siro, but if Zlatan Ibrahimovic moves on – the Swedish striker has been linked with a move – this could free up the money for a Van Persie bid.

Overall, this is set to be one of the transfer stories of the summer. Nobody but Van Persie and those close to him know what his ambitions are and there is no doubt Arsenal would still like to keep hold of their captain.
