There’s been a huge breakthrough in the Antoine Griezmann transfer saga with Catalan news outlet Sport claiming that Atletico Madrid and Barcelona reached an agreement over a summer transfer.
Barcelona are reportedly willing to pay more than what the player’s release clause states in order to sweeten the deal with Atletico Madrid.
The French forward is currently on a €200 million release clause which will be cut in half as of July.
Barcelona have been constantly linked with Griezmann over the past couple of months with persistent rumours damaging the relationship between two La Liga giants and Barcelona are now trying to mend things by offering €120 instead of €100 for the in-demand striker.
A five-year deal is on the cards for Griezmann and a No.7 shirt which has been vacant and waiting for the Frenchman.
Adding to the growing reports arriving from Spain, Diario AS claims that Barcelona want finish the deal as soon as possible and avoid dragging it throughout the summer.
The Catalans are hoping that Antoine Griezmann will be announced a new Barcelona player following the Europa League final against Marseille.
Antoine Griezmann is available at 23/17 betting odds to score anytime against the Ligue 1 outfit.
