Barcelona and Manchester United want Monchi

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, European giants Barcelona and Manchester United are both interested in bringing Monchi to their clubs. As you may already know Monchi isn’t a player, but he’s just as good as a new signing in more ways than one. The 49-year-old is a sporting director who has been with Roma since last year, after enjoying a successful tenure with Spanish club Sevilla.

Monchi is said to be somewhat opposed to the idea of leaving Roma due to his strong relationship with the club’s president, but at the same time, opportunities such as these don’t come around all too often. Both Barca and United are still considered to be two of the biggest teams in European football, with fantastic infrastructures that have helped them to become two of the largest brands in the game today.

The addition of Monchi could cause a ripple effect that helps the clubs to grow even further in the years to come.
