Barcelona and PSG wanted Guardiola?

According to a recent report from Sport, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain made contact with Pep Guardiola before he signed a new deal with Manchester City.

There was a great deal of speculation surrounding Pep’s future prior to his recent contract news, and yet despite him committing his immediate future to the Etihad, it does appear as if the rumour mill will keep on turning. Everyone knows how much success he enjoyed during his time at the Nou Camp so that link makes sense, but on the flip side, the French champions PSG likely have one thing and one thing only to offer him – money.

There’s an argument to be made about how much Pep would value the idea of managing players like Neymar and Mbappe, but either way, it seems like his priority right now is going to be with getting City to the top of both English football and European football.
