Catalan daily newspaper El Mundo Deportivo has suggested that Barcelona are set to complete the signing of Jean-Michael Seri from Nice.
It is no secret that the Catalans plan to reinforce their midfield department, but they appear to have failed in attempts to recruit one of Marco Verratti or Ander Herrera.
Barcelona officials, therefore, turned their attention to Nice’s Jean-Michael Seri, and they are reportedly set to wrap up the deal for his services.
The Ivorian recently started following club’s official Instagram account, which is enough to suggest he will soon be moving to Camp Nou.
Seri, 25, was one of Nice’s star performers last season, having managed 7 goals and 9 assists despite operating as a central midfielder.
French giants PSG, Monaco and Marseille all expressed interest in his services, but it seems that Barcelona have won the chase.
