La Gazzetta dello Sport has suggested that Barcelona have all but reached an agreement to sign Ezequiel Lavezzi from Paris Saint-Germain.
With his contract at Parc des Princes due to expire at the end of the season and the forward struggling for playing time, the Argentina international has been widely tipped to leave the Saints at the earliest opportunity.
And the latest reports suggest that he has already found a new club, with Barcelona reportedly having agreed a €4 million deal for his services.
The same source claims that Lavezzi’s international teammates Leo Messi and Javier Mascherano persuaded Barcelona coach Luis Enrique to recruit the 30-year-old forward.
Ezequiel Lavezzi joined PSG from Napoli in July 2012 and has since scored 21 goals in exactly 100 Ligue 1 appearances.
But, having started mere two league fixtures this term, the highly rated footballer has decided to leave Parc des Princes in the winter.
