Portuguese media outlet Record is reporting that Barcelona are stepping up their efforts to sign Benfica full-back Nelson Semedo.
The Catalans decided to turn their attention to the Eagles starlet after dropping interest in Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin and they now seem determined to wrap up the deal as quickly as possible.
The problem is that Benfica are holding out for €50 million, but latest reports suggest that Barcelona are ready to do business with the Primeira Liga champions.
Nelson Semedo largely impressed ever since he was promoted to the first team set up, going on to make 43 league appearances for the club.
As a result, clubs like Bayern Munich, Man Utd and Man City, to name just a few, expressed interest in his services, but, as things stand now, Barcelona have emerged as favourites for his signature.
