Barcelona confident in Wijnaldum deal

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman is confident the club will sign both Georginio Wijnadlum and Memphis Depay.

Both men would make their way over during the summer transfer window and both would be free transfers, and while the Depay news isn’t exactly a shock, many have been left to wonder what Wijnaldum’s next move would be after his recent contract troubles.

It’s clear to see Liverpool want to make some sort of play in keeping him on their books, but up to this point, their efforts haven’t quite worked out.

Wijnaldum has the ability to thrive in any midfield across any of the top leagues in European football and very few people would dispute that, but the big question still rests with how much the Reds truly value him.
