Barcelona confident of signing Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso

Barcelona are confident of signing Marcos Alonso from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that La Liga powerhouse Barcelona remain in talks with Premier League giants Chelsea over signing defender Alonso.

Alonso, who can operate as a left-back or as a wing-back, has been on the books of Chelsea since 2016 and has done well for the Blues over the years. The Spain international has won the Premier League once, the UEFA Champions League on one occasion, and the UEFA Europa League once. Alonso has scored 26 goals and created 26 big chances in 179 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
