Barcelona consider Arteta

According to a recent report from Sport, Barcelona are turning their attention towards Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

This news comes after a string of questionable performances from Xavi and while the Spanish giants seemingly have a great deal of respect and support for their former midfielder, there are also many questions over his ability to guide this team forward into a brighter tomorrow.

The fact that they dropped out of the Champions League and into the Europa League is one of the key factors, especially given how thrown together their squad sometimes feels.

Arteta first began his professional career with Barca back in the late 90s as a youngster before really making his mark in English football, most notably with Everton and Arsenal.

Now, he sits at the top of the Premier League table with the Gunners, with some even suggesting they could continue to battle it out with Manchester City until the end of the campaign.
