According to a recent report from Sky Italy, Spanish champions Barcelona could be interested in the possibility of bringing Gianluigi Buffon to the Nou Camp as a back up option to Marc-Andre ter Stegen. The Italian legend announced his exit from Paris Saint-Germain earlier on in the week, and has reportedly received offers from overseas in China to continue his playing career. Alas, it doesn’t seem as if that’s going to happen, as the 41 year old isn’t that keen on the idea of moving there. He’s said to be more likely to move to Turkey or Germany, but of course, that may be thrown into doubt if Barca are serious about bringing him in.
Buffon has already played for some of the best clubs in world football, but a stint with Barcelona, however brief, would undoubtedly ensure that he goes down in history as having one of the most decorated goalkeeping careers in history.
