Barcelona could let Philippe Coutinho leave on loan! One of the biggest signings in the history of Barcelona might just leave the club this summer, after his poor season and a half at Nou Camp. Former Liverpool playmaker still did not find his feet in Spain, after his prolonged departure from Anfield 18 months ago, but right now, Blaugrana are open to loaning him out.
However, they will do so only if they receive a large fee. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan club will allow the 27-year-old Brazilian to leave on a short-term move if they receive a fee of around €25-30m for the 2019-20 season. It is hard to imagine there will be any club interested to pay such sum of money to get a player just for one season.
Mundo Deportivo’s report also claims that Barcelona would still prefer to sell Coutinho for good and cut their loses, but they also realise that a loan would not only give the player more playing time, but would also give more clubs the chance to get him for the next season.
