The Daily Star are today reporting that full-back Daniel Alves is being monitored by Manchester City after it was suggested that he is not on the best of terms with the hierarchy at Barcelona.
Alves has apparently fallen out with the club after playing in a friendly match without permission from medical staff.
The Brazlian may feel though it is time for a change in his career as he has won all the game has to offer with Barcelona.
The La Liga giants could see this as the perfect time to let Alves go too as he is in his peak and would leave the Nou Camp for good money.
The 29-year-old is considered one of the best right-backs in world football at the moment so would spark a lot of interest should he become available.
City would be keen to add Alves to their squad as they look to build a team that can win back to back Premier League titles and his experience of winning trophies can only benefit the side. He also has a vast amount of Champions League experience.
It is certainly a story to keep an eye on during this summer transfer window and is likely to take a few twists and turns.
