According to Marca, Spanish champions Barcelona could be looking into the possibility of selling either Yerry Mina or Thomas Vermaelen before the new La Liga campaign gets underway. The general belief is that Barca have too many centre-backs on their roster at the moment, and want to free up some space ahead of what is sure to be an arduous campaign.
Vermaelen has been someone who has lingered in and out of the first team for years now, and it’s unknown where he’d go next after not making the desired impact he would’ve liked since arriving at the Nou Camp. Mina, on the other hand, is coming off the back of a tremendous World Cup campaign with Colombia which saw him become a household name amongst many fans who previously didn’t even know who he was.
Whatever happens, it seems as if Barcelona have all the right kinds of problems.
