Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka is attracting plenty of interest from Europe’s biggest clubs lately.
The 22-year-old in-form star is nearing the end of his contract with the Bundesliga side and several top names have already been alerted by the prospect of snapping such a gem possibly on a free contract next summer.
The likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been credited with an interest for the German international, whereas Barcelona and Bayern Munich have also been mentioned as the two front-runners for his signature.
Barcelona international scout Ariedo Braida has moved on to deny such rumours, pouring cold water on stories linking the Catalan club with a move for Goretzka.
“He is certainly a great player, but for Barcelona it is too soon. I travel around the world in search for great talent but our demands are extremely high”, he said.
Leon Goretzka is currently with Germany national team for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan.
Germany will secure their Russian visa with a draw or higher against Northern Ireland and Leon Goretzka can be backed at 12/5 betting odds to help his team achieve this goal with a goal against the Northerners.
