Despite numerous reports claiming they do, Barcelona apparently aren’t looking to sell Philippe Coutinho this summer.
Since his €160 million move from Liverpool last January, the playmaker hasn’t been able to show his true quality or secure a place in the starting XI at the Catalan club, despite the departure of Neymar six months earlier and numerous injury issues of winger Ousmane Dembele. He has been linked with a move away, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and even Liverpool reportedly interested. More recently, reports claimed that a swap-deal with Paris Saint-Germain involving Neymar’s return to the Camp Nou was on the cards.
But as relayed by Sky Sports, the Brazilian’s representative Kia Joorabchian told RMC Sport that he had spoken with Barcelona sporting director Pep Segura who assured him the club have no intention of parting ways with Coutinho this summer. He also said that there hadn’t been any contact from the Ligue 1 champions at all.
