According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Barcelona’s director of football Eric Abidal is set to travel over to France today in order to try and finalise the details behind Neymar’s transfer to the club. The controversial Brazilian forward has been heavily linked with a switch to the Nou Camp over the course of the last few months, with the 27 year old’s future being incredibly uncertain. He has been linked with both Barca and Real Madrid in what would be two incredibly different deals, but for now, it appears as if his former side Barcelona are starting to lead the race.
Neymar has been eager to return to Spanish football and let PSG know that he wanted to leave way back in July.
Whatever happens now, it certainly seems like his playing days in the French capital are over – but the rest of his career is just beginning.
