Barcelona end Martinez interest

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Barcelona have brought their interest in Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez to an end.

The belief is that they’ve decided his fee was beyond what they could afford, or at the very least, beyond what they believed he was actually worth.

Martinez to Barca seemed as if it was a nailed on transfer for months but it appears as if that’s no longer the case. There was always going to be a great deal of change at the Nou Camp once Ronald Koeman entered into the conversation and now that he’s finally settled in, you’d have to imagine he’s going to try and do a lot of things differently – and that includes through the club’s transfer policy.

Martinez is still one of the most exciting forwards out there and while Inter will be happy to keep hold of him, they would’ve enjoyed the transfer fee even more.
