The Belfast Telegraph is reporting that Barcelona are ready to enter the race to sign Chelsea defender David Luiz.
It is being suggested that a £30m bid is being prepared, something that will test the resolve of the European Champions.
Earlier in the week, Chelsea were forced to reject speculation that Luiz was being chased by Manchester City and now they may have to do the same again.
It has certainly been an eventful week for the Brazilian defender. Not only has he been linked with a move away from the club, but he has upset manager Roberto Di Matteo.
Luiz took to his Twitter page to reveal he was injured and couldn’t take part in the midweek fixture with Reading, something Di Matteo wasn’t happy with.
Then, he tweeted a picture of himself on a plane on the way to Barcelona. This is where the speculation started.
Chelsea are passing things off as a Nike event that the player had to attend, but the interest from the Spanish giants in signing Luiz is believed to be genuine.

Elsewhere, Chelsea today completed the signing of right-back Cesar Azpilicueta, as Yahoo reports.
