Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona are hot on the trail of AC Milan starlet Alessio Romagnoli, according to Sport.
The Catalans plan to further rejuvenate their back line in the summer and the Italian defender is one of the players they are looking at.
Barcelona scouts have been watching the former AS Roma centre-back on regular basis this season, which is enough to suggest that the La Liga giants may step up their interest in the summer.
However, luring the talented defender to Camp Nou will be no easy task considering that AC Milan splashed out €25 million on the 21-year-old last summer.
Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic was desperate to bring the youngster to San Siro after working with him at Sampdoria and he has so far had no problems carrying the burden of the hefty price tag.
Romagnoli started no fewer than 23 Serie A games this season, helping the Rossoneri keep six clean sheets in the process.
