Catalan daily newspaper Sport understands that Barcelona are hot on the trail of Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco.
The Catalans were able to add Paco Alcacer to their attacking department in the summer, but they are already working on potential reinforcements for the next season.
Namely, Sport has learned that Atletico Madrid hotshot Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco has emerged as a top target for Barcelona.
The Catalans sporting director Robert Fernandez watched the Belgian in action in the Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, and he must have been delighted with what he saw as the 23-year-old scored the only goal of the game.
Carrasco joined Atletico Madrid from Monaco just over a year ago and he has since managed 6 goals and 5 assists in 51 competitive outings.
The winger has a €40 million release clause in his current deal and he has so far refused to negotiate a new contract with the club.
