Spanish daily newspaper El Confidencial is reporting that Barcelona are weighing up a summer bid for Atletico Madrid centre-back Miranda.
The Catalans are looking at a number of high-profile players as they aim to reinforce their back line and the Brazilian is one of the names on their hit-list.
Miranda has played an important role in what has been a very successful season for los Colchoneros and he has been a part of defence that has conceded mere 24 goals in 36 La Liga matches this term.
Prizing the highly rated defender from Vicente Calderon will not be an easy task, but it is believed Atletico would agree to sell if they manage to sign Eliaquim Mangala from FC Porto.
The two sides remain in the race for the La Liga trophy, with Atletico three points clear of their league rivals ahead of the final two rounds, although they will face Barcelona at Camp Nou on the final day of the league campaign.
