Brazilian defender Fabinho is one of the players Barcelona are looking at, El Mundo Deportivo can reveal.
The Catalans have decided to recruit a new right-back as they prepare for life without Dani Alves, and they had outlined a list of seven potential targets.
But, with Danilo Luiz da Silva agreeing a switch to Real Madrid, their shortlist now contains six names.
Rio Ave full-back Fabinho, who is currently on loan at Monaco, is under close inspection at the moment, and he could end up with Barcelona after Real Madrid opted against turning his loan deal into permanent move.
The 21-year-old has since impressed during a loan spell with Monaco and has even earned a place in the Brazil national team.
Meanwhile, the Catalans are also keeping close tabs on Serge Aurier, Mario Gaspar, Matteo Darmian, Fabian Johnson and Lukasz Piszczek, with one of Douglas Perreira or Martin Montoya tipped to leave at the end of the season.
