Barcelona are believed to be keeping close tabs on Inter Milan playmaker Fredy Guarin, according to Daily Express.
The Catalans plan to reinforce the midfield area in January, and the Colombia international appears to be one of the first names on their hit-list.
Guarin has also been linked with Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham, but Barcelona seem to be leading the chase at the moment.
Prizing the Colombian away from Stadio Giuseppe Meazza will be no easy task though given that he is considered a key player at Inter.
Fredy Guarin joined the Nerazzurri from Porto in January 2012, initially on a loan deal, before completing a permanent transfer the following summer.
In spite of the slow start to his career in Italy, the 27-year-old has developed into a key member of the squad at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, making a total of 52 Serie A appearances and scoring 6 goals.
