Spanish radio station Cadena SER has learned that Barcelona are set to reignite their interest in Liverpool defender Daniel Agger.
With Carles Puyol set to leave and Javier Mascherano also linked with a summer exit, the Catalans are actively seeking for defensive reinforcements.
As a result, Barcelona are being linked with a number of high-profile players, while Cadena SER understands that long-term target Daniel Agger is also in the mix.
The Catalans officials hold the player in high regard despite the fact he has lost his place in the starting line-up at Anfield, and they could finally make a serious attempt to lure him to Camp Nou.
Agger, 29, has made just 19 Premier League appearances this season, and he is widely tipped to leave at the end of the current campaign.
Meanwhile, Liverpool remain at the top of the league standings, and they are available at 5/4 to win outright.
