Barcelona go after Alaba

According to a recent report from AS, Barcelona have opened talks with the representatives of Bayern Munich star David Alaba.

While it’s seemingly been evident for quite some time, Alaba has now made the official decision to leave Bayern after many successful years at the club. Many have been left to wonder what exactly that’s going to mean for him going forward, and if this story winds up going anywhere, it could mean a trip to Spain.

Barcelona have their fair share of problems as a club and nobody is getting around that fact – but they still have an awful lot of appeal within the landscape of world football. They’re easily one of the most exciting teams to watch, one of the most successful, and they’ve also got the best player in world football in Lionel Messi.

With all of that in mind, it makes sense that Alaba would be interested in heading to the Nou Camp.
