According to a recent report from Fichajes, Barcelona are set to make a move to sign Edinson Cavani during the January transfer window.
The veteran forward is still viewed by many as an integral piece of the puzzle for Manchester United in an attacking sense, but that hasn’t stopped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from only really using him as an impact substitute.
Cavani is easily one of the most natural finishers in the Premier League and, by default, he should be able to translate that over to the majority of leagues across Europe.
Barcelona need to find more balance in their squad and that much is obvious. They’re struggling to put together consistent results in La Liga and while Cavani wouldn’t answer all of their prayers, he’d definitely offer up another option.
If the deal does go through in January, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it getting dragged out until deadline day.
