Barcelona go after Demir

According to a recent report from Marca, Barcelona are leading the race to try and sign Rapid Vienna youngster Yousuf Demir.

The belief is that Barca are ready and willing to spend up to £6.5 million on the 17-year-old who, in the eyes of many, is considered to be the Austrian Messi.

Whether or not that kind of praise is a bit too much remains to be seen but one thing is for sure – if he’s already getting such a nickname, and it’s sticking, there must be something to it.

Barca already look set to have an incredibly busy summer full of many changes up and down their squad, and adding someone like Demir could be quite the shrewd move.

Given some of the names they’re being linked with it definitely feels as if this would fly under the radar, and that kind of transfer could actually suit Barca quite nicely.
