According to a recent report from Matteo Moretto, Barcelona are interested in making a move to sign Matheus Nunes from Wolves.
Nunes, who became Wolverhampton Wanderers’ record transfer signing last summer, is finally starting to get into a solid rhythm at Molineux. The 24-year-old midfielder has become an integral part of the first team for Julen Lopetegui and moving forward, we imagine that trend will continue.
However, it’s no secret that he’s a wanted man across Europe. In addition to Liverpool sniffing around, the belief is that Barcelona are also looking to put in an offer.
This comes as a result of their strong connections with Jorge Mendes. The report indicates that they will use that in a way that can help facilitate a sale.
Of course, he probably isn’t going to go on the cheap – unless Mendes can make that happen. Still, you’d think Barca’s priorities would be elsewhere from a financial standpoint.
